Dangling sterling silver earrings with turquoise and pearls.

Artist: Erick Begay, Navajo - Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market Artist 2019

Begay's family has been involved in Native American jewelry for generations. His mother, Frances Begay, taught him the art of silversmithing while she sold her jewelry in Santa Fe. He started making jewelry when he was eleven. When he turned sixteen he became a full-time jeweler. In 1993, both Erick and his mother moved to Las Vegas, NV and opened a store.

Erick only uses sterling silver, 14k gold, and the highest quality gemstones. His work includes a high degree of silversmithing, goldsmithing, tufa stone casting, lost wax casting, sand casting, inlaying, diamond setting, and engraving.

Erick Begay is a regularly attending artist at the Eiteljorg's annual Indian Market and Festival in June.
